Lafirgo is a competitive company based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We assist small cosmetics brands in complying with EC 1223/2009 and Directive 2013/15/EC. Lafirgo was established in anticipation of a large demand for a simple and transparent service in this field. Since we are a small organisation, we can be lean and mean. We specialise in organic and natural cosmetics because it is our conviction that products that are kind to people and to our environment are the future. Lafirgo provides the following services:
Lafirgo is qualified to perform cosmetic safety assessments and can assist you in the process of preprating your Product Information File. Have a look at our Quick Scan or get a quote.
Each cosmetic product placed on the market has to have a responsible person. This person ensures that products comply with the rules set out in the Regulation. In particular, they ensure compliance with requirements relating to human health, safety and consumer information. They maintain a product information file accessible to the public authorities. Lafirgo may serve as your Responsible Person.
The term ‘borderline products’ refers to those products that may be difficult to classify into one product category or another, therefore they may fall into different regulatory frameworks. Lafirgo helps you to identify them.
When it comes to product labelling, the EU has very strict rules. We will assist you in making sure that your labels are correct.
The Product Information File (PIF) is a compilation of technical documents required for each cosmetic product to be placed on the European market.
The Regulation (Article 13) requires that the responsible persons and, under certain circumstances, the distributors of cosmetic products submit cosmetics products via the Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP). This is often called registration, but formally it is a notification. Part of our service is the notification of your cosmetics products.
